On this page, you will find a church member survey, an overview of our regathering plan in the form of graphics, a more detailed readable version, and a video so you can hear from our staff as we look forward to meeting back together.
REGATHERING PLAN DETAILS
Please keep in mind that these phases are just a plan. Those plans could change depending on what is going on with the Coronavirus and responses by local, state, and national leaders. Phases three and four do not have set dates to start. The staff and trustees will make those plans according to guidelines and will let the congregation know when we plan on moving to another phase. If you have any questions, please contact us in the church office!
PHASE ONE
• Church office hours will return to normal on June 1, 2020.
• This phase will expire on June 6, 2020.
PHASE TWO
• A survey is on the page. PLEASE HELP US OUT by filling out this survey so we will get an idea of how many people plan to come to worship when we regather!
• No physical bulletins – online only (FBCOB.info)
• No Childcare, Children’s Ministries, or Youth Ministries on campus.
• Pastor Daniel will hand out Kids Packs at the front door and continue posting Kids Sunday School curriculum.
• Pastor Jordan will continue with online student gatherings and discipleship.
• Doors will open for seating at 9:45am, Service will begin promptly at 10:15am
• If you feel sick at all, please STAY HOME.
• If you don’t feel comfortable getting out with a bunch of people, please know THAT IS OKAY and even encouraged to stay home.
• We will continue live streaming all worship services.
• We encourage you to wear a mask.
• We have a very small number of masks at the church if you don’t have one of your own already. They aren’t required, but we do encourage you to wear them.
• All volunteers will be wearing masks.
• We will not be serving any coffee or donuts for the time being.
• Hand Sanitizer will be available at all entrances.
• Invitation will be much different, but please reach out to us if you want to talk to one of the pastors.
• You may call the church office (662-895-5481), fill out the digital Connect Card, or texting/calling the pastor-on-call (862-243-2262)
• Offering – You may GIVE ONLINE or give as you walk out.
• We’re doing everything we can to be sure to keep the meeting areas sanitized
• Seating:
• Pews have been marked to keep family groups 6 feet apart (every 3rd pew). You will be guided to a seat with your group. Please abide by the seating guidelines.
• “Come Together, Sit Together”
• Everyone 18 and under, please show up with and sit with your family as a group.
• If your group is more than 8 people, we MAY need to split you into smaller groups to accommodate.
• When in hallways and in the worship center, please practice social distancing by keeping 6 feet apart.
• You will enter and exit through the front doors of the worship center.
• Please stay in your seat and do not wander around the building.
• After the service is over, we will dismiss in a way that will keep us in compliance with social distancing.
• Overflow Areas:
• We will also have overflow seating first in the FLC Dining Hall, then we will begin filling the Student Center, and lastly we may utilize the KidsTime area in the Upper Room.
• The back parking lot will be closed
• All the doors in the back of the building will be locked, so please park in the main parking lot.
• All areas will be set up for proper social distancing.
PHASE THREE
• This phase will be the same as phase two with a few additions.
• Adult and Student Sunday Schools will have the option to meeting in person.
• The teachers will need to schedule their meetings through the church office.
• They can meet M-F 8am to 7pm.
• We will stagger meeting times and clean in between meetings.
• Pastor Jordan will also have the option to have some outdoor activities with the students, as long as guidelines allow it.
PHASE FOUR
• This phase will be our “Fully Open” phase.
• When we are back to normal in school, work, and life in general, we will be able to return all ministries to normal operations.
• This could be the end of the summer or it could be much longer.
