5 Ways to Engage in 2025
1. Engage Personally
We would love for as many people as possible to commit to reading through the New Testament chronologically in your personal devotional time. We’ve provided a daily reading plan in the resources section below.
By reading 1 chapter a day, 5 days of the week, we’ll read the entire New Testament by the end of the year! Week One will begin Sunday, January 5th.
We also encourage you to practice the H.E.A.R. Journal Method as a way to provide consistency and direction for your bible reading:
HIGHLIGHT: Highlight a verse(s) in the daily reading as focal texts.
EXPLAIN: Explain the highlighted verses by writing about the meaning and purpose of the verses.
APPLY: Write out the application of the highlighted text. What does the Scriptures instruct you do do with the truths you have read?
RESPOND: Consider an appropriate response to the text. This might be a prayer or an action point to begin practicing.
2. Engage in Your Household
We’ve created a Family Worship Guide for families wanting to walk through the New Testament as a family in their homes. This guide can be found below in the resources section. It’s simply a discipleship tool to use as you wish.
3. Engage in Connect Group
Each Sunday at 9:15am, our Connect Groups gather for a time of meaningful connection around the Word, sharing life with one another. We provide connect groups for all ages from preschool to senior adults and every age in between. You’ll find our groups to be friendly, focused, and centered on the Bible and how it is to be practically applied to your everyday life.
In 2025, many of our Connect Groups will be using a curriculum that follows the New Testament chronological timeline in Scripture.
4. Engage in Sunday Worship
Each Sunday at our 8:00am and 10:45am worship services, Pastor Jerrod will be preaching a message from the previous week’s daily bible reading plan.
4. Engage in Midweek Dgroups
In addition to the Midweek meal and age-graded ministry gatherings for preschool, kids, and students on Wednesday nights; adults will gather at 6:15pm this Spring Semester (January-May) into Dgroups!
Dgroups are gender-exclusive groups of 3-5 people who meet weekly for a specified amount of time for intentional spiritual growth. Those Dgroup meetings will likely consist of the following:
-
Reading through the New Testament together
-
Journaling God’s Word
-
Memorizing God’s Word
-
Holding each other accountable
-
Praying for one another and praying about replicating this journey with others in the future
Dgroups are our faith family’s framework of making disciples who make disciples

Chronological Bible Teaching
Chronological Bible Teaching Ministries grew out of a passion to mature believers using the Bible, rather than books about the Bible, as the primary tool.
Chronological Bible Teaching Ministries is the source of our reading plan and is a great ministry for digging deeper into God’s Word.
CBT impacts churches and groups around the world; materials have been translated into three different languages, and thousands have gained greater insight into the scripture by understanding the story framework of God’s Word.
