7.7.2020

We are back IN PERSON and ONLINE this Sunday, July 12! Doors will open at 9:45am and worship will begin at 10:15am.
A few things to note:
• Please practice social distancing throughout our building while you are here.
• Please wear a mask. They aren’t mandatory, but are recommended. If you don’t have a mask of your own, we have some at the front entrance.
• Security will be seating you as you walk in the doors. Once your group is seated please stay in that place. Moving around and adding people to your group after you are seated makes it difficult for us to keep the six foot distance between family groups. This is why we say IF YOU WANT TO SIT TOGETHER, WALK IN TOGETHER!
• Instead of the seat cards, the security team will be jotting down names and phone numbers of a representative from each family group. Please help us out by volunteering that information for them. They may not know everyone’s first and last names. This is for security reasons. If someone in your area comes down with Covid, we want to be able to notify you as soon as possible. This is for everyone’s safety!
We look forwarding to seeing you THIS SUNDAY!!

7.2.2020

Out of an abundance of caution, our Coronavirus Response Team has decided to keep our services ONLINE ONLY this week.
Join us at FBCOB.ONLINE.CHURCH at 10:15am!

6.26.2020

We will be ONLINE ONLY this Sunday (6/28)! Someone in attendance of both services on 6/21 tested positive for Covid this week. A mask was worn during the early service. They are ok, but please pray!
Everyone who sat close or had close contact has already been notified. We will release an update next week for the worship service on 7/5.
Just to be clear. No symptoms were present Sunday morning. The test came back positive on Thursday. We are making this decision to keep everyone healthy! Please share this information with your Sunday school classes and friends at church.

5.27.2020

We have released our phased REGATHERING plan. We plan on moving to Phase Two and holding our first in-person worship service on Sunday, June 7, 2020. All details can be found here: REGATHERING PLAN

5.15.2020

Our Coronavirus Response Team has been meeting and is working to put a phased reopening plan together. We are waiting to hear the new guidelines that are set to begin on May 26th. While we work on our plan, we can say for sure that Online Services will continue through the month of May. We hope to reopen in June, but that will depend on the new guidelines. This reopening will also be a slow, stepped, process. Please be patient as the church staff and other leaders are doing their best to keep you safe and follow guidelines. If you need anything, please give us a call at the church office at 662-895-5481. We look forward to being together soon!

4.27.2020

We have a Coronavirus response team made up of our Trustees, Staff members, and others that have been meeting WEEKLY! We are looking at how to best serve the church and community during this time. Please know every decision being made is done for the safety and well-being of our church members, our guests, and our community. We will release more information about all of this as we know something, so be sure to join our REMIND text alerts.

4.1.2020

We are still following guidelines released by our mayor and governor. All worship services and Bible studies have moved online until further notice. All events have been postponed. We will release updates on specific event as soon as we know more details. We hope to have another update before April 21st.

3.20.2020

Our Trustees and Staff have decided to move all Worship Services and Bible Studies online through April 1, 2020.

During this time, you can find an online schedule where you can interact with other church members as we participate in Worship and Bible Study. Visit fbcob.online.church. Here, you will be able to tune in live. You will be able to submit prayer requests, view the bulletin (web app and PDF versions), fill out a connect card, access the Bible during livestreams. There are also instructions about how to find past streams. This online experience will help keep us connected as a church body.
Pastor Daniel is releasing Video-based activities and teaching for you to use whenever your schedule allows.
Pastor Jordan will be live with the youth according to the schedule on our online platform.
EVERYTHING on campus is suspended and postponed right now until we know more on April 1 (including Choir, Lil’ Blessings, etc.).
Please note WE ARE NOT CANCELING CHURCH. We are simply MOVING ONLINE. If you need help, we will do our best to help you get setup. Resources will be coming out soon for your small groups to stay connected. Check on each other and support each other. Now, more than ever our church is accessible to EVERYONE, so invite a friend to join you!

OUR RESPONSE TO THE COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS)

Our staff and trustees have formed a team to address our church’s response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus). As of today, Monday, March 16, 2020 this is what we have planned for this coming week:
All church activities including (Women’s Bible Study, ESL, Wednesday Prayer Gathering, All Wednesday evening activities, and Honduras Team Meeting) will be canceled to comply with the CDC and Governor Tate Reeves announcements. Our team will decide on Thursday night and get the word out about this weekend’s Sunday School and Worship Service.
The BEST way for you to stay up to date with what is going on with the church is to sign up for REMIND TEXT ALERTS. (Instructions below) We will also continue to post on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
Please be patient with us. This is obviously unprecedented for our church, everyone in our nation, and around the world. We are working to keep our church united through the use of technology.
We hope to not only offer ways to interact with each other on Sunday mornings, but also during small groups and Wednesday Bible Studies.
Stay tuned and share this announcement with anyone that you know who may not be on social media! God is up to something BIG. Have faith and trust in His plans!

3.13.2020

We ARE planning on having Sunday School and Worship this Sunday, March 15th. If you feel sick, please feel free to stay home. Also, remember to pray for those affected by this virus and keep those hands clean! See you Sunday!
