The FBC Youth and Children's ministries are trading spaces. The Youth Ministry will move to the area behind the worship center. The Children's Ministry will move to the second floor in the Preschool building. |

 DUALS
Jesus told a story about a man who invited guests to a banquet in his home. The invited guests made all kinds of excuses for not attending. He responded by sending his servants into the streets to invited anyone who would attend, in order to fill his house! (Luke 14:23) First Baptist Church is our banquet hall. We are to invite guests to hear the good news about a personal relationship with Jesus. When our house is not full, we are to work to fill it. When it is full we are not to rest but to provide space for even more. The most economical way to do this is to meet multiple times. Beginning Sunday, August 5th, the family of First Baptist Church will make room to reach more people in the Olive Branch community by adding a worship service at 9:00 am and by adding a Sunday school hour at 10:15. Please join us Sunday, August 5th for this exciting adventure in providing for more people to worship together and to study God's word. |

Community Life Bible Study, a night of Bible study at First Baptist Church for men and women of all denominations, begins Thursday, September 6, 2007 at 7:00 pm. An open house with refreshments, information, and fellowship will be Thursday, August 23, 2007 at 6:30 pm in the FLC/DH. Tuesday, August 21st at 6:30pm in the Upper Room. Ladies of all ages are invited to join us for dinner as we kick off our newly, re-energized Women's Ministry, called Holy Hands
Ministries for Women. Come find out what all our new Women's Ministry has to offer and where YOU can get plugged in! Our "guest of honor" will be Mrs. Janice Stewart! Tickets are $5 each and will be available in the Welcome

| Preschool Ministry
August is going to be a great month in the preschool department. Our department is starting a new curriculum. Our preschoolers will have new lessons that are built upon each other for both hours.
August 15th, we will have our big kick off for 3,4,and 5 year old choir followed by Mission Friends. Come and enjoy all the fun and excitement.
Mother's Day Out will have Open House on August 23 at 6:30 pm.
Our next family dedication will be September 9, please contact April Dye if you are interested.
Senior Single Adult Ministry
The Single Senior Adult potluck and fellowship will be Tuesday, August 7th at 7pm in the FLC/DH.
We will have breakfast at Old Style BBQ on Saturday, August 18th at 8:30am.
Senior Adult Ministry
We will host the Associational Senior Adult meeting on August 20 at 10:30 a.m. We will also be in charge of the meal. We will need people to help cook, set up tables, greet at the door, sing, etc.
Deadline for your $50 deposit for the Branson trip is August 1. Balance is due on September 1. Make plans now to join us!!!

Music Ministry
Wednesday night activities will resume this month. We will be trying some different things on Wednesdays. The biggest changes will be: Prayer Meeting, 6:00 p.m.; Celebration Choir, 7:00 p.m. This will allow us to try to recruit youth to sing in the Celebration Choir, and be a part of rehearsal!
We will be forming and expanding singing groups. If you are a member of the Celebration Choir, and would be interested in singing in a group, please see Bro. Bill
We will resume Sunday night services. We will be adding some variety to the music on Sunday nights. We will do our best to incorporate several people in the singing. I encourage you to join us for the August 5 kickoff of this service!
Graded Choirs will resume on Wednesday nights. We will begin work on Christmas music immediately. Tryouts can't be far away!!! If you would be interested in a speaking part, be watching for tryouts! | |
