- Welcome to the website of
Olive Branch’s First Baptist Church.
Founded in the 1800’s, First Baptist remains committed to seeing
the message of Jesus change the lives of individuals in our city
and around the globe.
Our church exists to lead people to become healthy, growing
followers of Jesus. We believe that Jesus wants to meet each
person where they are in life and move them one step closer to
him.
As you’ll notice from our site, there are a lot of ministries
and activities taking place on our campus. We strive to bring
alignment to each of these ministries by making sure each one
supports one of the five purposes of our church:
- Relational Evangelism
– Helping people share their faith story.
Effective Discipleship – Helping people grow in their
faith.
Authentic Fellowship – Strengthening the Church family.
Strategic Ministry – Helping people find their place to
serve.
Inspiring Worship – Helping people touch the presence of
God.

- First Baptist Church is located in the heart of town
on Pigeon Roost Road in Olive Branch, Mississippi. Olive Branch is
a suburb of Memphis, Tennessee and is located in DeSoto County,
Mississippi, which is in the top northwest corner of the state.
The town was originally known as Cowpens and later as Watson’s
Crossroads. The name of Olive Branch was suggested in 1846, and
on May 1, 1874, Olive Branch was incorporated as a town. The
population has rapidly increased from 3,567 in 1990 and soaring
to a current population of 32,305 within the 38654 zip code.
